Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
I was wondering if anyone on here is related to the Easter families of Greensville/Brunswick Co., VA (who later moved to Surry Co., VA) or to the Flowers families in Surry Co., VA.
I have been able to trace my family back to Henry Flowers (born 1800) and Susan Flowers (born 1806) in Surry County, but that is all. Their children were John, Patience, Sally, James, Frances, Mary, and Susan.
For the Easter family, I’ve only been able to go back to a William Easter (born 1838 and had an uncle named Mathew Grain) and Mary J Easter (born 1845).
I noticed the Flowers families married into the Epps, Johnson, Bailey, Byrds, and Blizzards families.
Any help would be great appreciated!!!
There is probably Allens somewhere around those clans as well. I will bet that your family probably was in Henry/Patrick VA as well as Grayson/Carroll VA too. The Easters, Allens, Johnsons were in that area as well. My furthest known Easter connection in that area was Michael Easter ca 1760 who was married to Barbara Essings.
Antonn, I have Easter connections also. My great-grandmother was Leana (Easter) Dupree born in Lawrenceville VA,in 1903. in Her parents were Corinne (Travis) Easter and James Easter. Her grandparents were Ann (Walker)Travis and Rufus Travis.
