I was wondering if any one has heard of this tribe or band of Indians and what tribe or group are they a branch off of . I have ran across this group and name a lot doing research on my mom’s bloodline . The Secrest , Johnson , Deese ; Haithcocks just to mention a few names on her side . Does any one know anything or has any one heard of this before .
Sincerely
MaKlay/Wachiki

September 6, 2007 at 4:54 pm #28351Linda I am sorry it has taken me so long to find out anything more on the Greywold band/tribe . Paul ” greywolf ” Wright is in the progress of getting some more documentation on this . He stated that it was told by his ggfather the name or band/family/tribe of Greywold . And I know that Greywolf is around his earliy 60’s . I will be letting you know more as I get the info .

September 6, 2007 at 4:54 pm #28370I knew I’d run across this in my reading recently.
Here’s a link to a Google Book Search that brings up 8 hits for Gray Wolf Clan. It looks like the Cuyuga might be the most likely for the area.

September 6, 2007 at 4:54 pm #28570I found out that the biggest part of this family or Tribe/Band was from Oklahoma . The one who I got this info from is Paul ” Graywolf ” Wright . And something happened years ago and Paul’s , father or gfather droped the gray part and just used the wolf part , something to do with race and reconicion . Sorry for spelling . I am still high on life from the POWPOW where I got to meet Becky ; Dreaminghawk ; beeleaf ; and several more great people .
