It has been a pretty good while sense i postedc here, first off i forgot my password lol.

Well i guess in getting the itch again with the geneology stuff. To bad i have all my stuff that i need at my fathers back in alabama.

So im wonderring if any of you may have info on a Ellesider Rogers or Rodgers born about 8/1832. is is supose to be half Creek and half Cherokee. She married Isaac Caleb Driggers born around 1822 in south corolina.

I have read different things on the internet that the Driggers last name was Melungeon .So is the surname Rogers or Rodgers also.

i very nice gentle man sent me a pic of Ellesider and Isaac and you can tell that she was Indian there is no dening that. the pic was coppied from a metal plate.

they say that Ellesider dad may have been Noah Rogers or Rodgers. This is from my mothers fathers side of the family but i have Rogers/ Rodgers on my mothers mothers side also and im wonderring if there is a connection. im sure that my mother has some indian in her from her mother and some spanish maybe. Her mother was a rogers her dad was Lafayette rogers im not sure but i think his grand mother was joahanna or maybe that was his mom. wonder if there is a connection with Ellensider and Joahanna? My mothers family were from Coffee and pike co al, so were her dads people the Stewarts.

any kinda help would be great. also am i right in thinking that the Melungeon people are a people that tri racial or in other words of three different races? if im wrong please exsplain it to me.
