Hello
I am searching for info about Milliton Collins–1765 to 1840
My questions
Who is his father
Who was his mother
Did he have any brothers and sisters
Can someone help me. I am new at genealogy and also new to the group.
Thank you in advance
Cindy Mann–ohio
Hi, Cindy, welcome.
I’d suggest you use the ‘search’ button in the banner crossing near the top of the page, and search on ‘collins’ – reading the entire store of what’s been posted on his line.
Not being confrontational, but how do you descend from Milliton/Middleton Collins?
Bill
Dear Bill

His son was Absolom
His son was Martin Frederick Sr
His son was Martin Frederick Jr
His daughter is Elizabeth Joy and she is ,y mother.
Thanks for the tip on search I am really new at genealogy and this site.

Happy New Year
Ciindy
Okay, I found your gen-tree info and was able to verify it back to the 1820s.
I don’t think his parents have been proven.

Cindy,
I don’t think Militon’s parents have been determined with any great deal of certainty. In 1820 Giles Co., Va, the oldest Collinses were Soloman and Samuel, both over 45, and both living relatively close to Militon Collins.
On 10 May, 1783, Mileton Collins was granted/or bought, 80 acres at Big Reed Island & the New River (per Annals of SW Va). Also taking up land at Big Reed Island & New River, was Aaron Collier (Collins??), don’t know that this is misspelled, but it’s a possible until eliminated. On various branches of the New River in 1783 were George Collins and John Collins.
Some of the info on Militon won’t come up because just a link is listed….
