I posted this some time ago. If you see the pictures, of Reason and Sarah Allen Roberts, she is the daughter of James Allen and Phoebe JOHNSON. James is son of Drury allen and Lurana Hargrove…tying back into some of us here.

Also Linda, in the ROGERS post when you wondered about Rogers, I hate to post this within that thread and not separately, but in Edgecombe co NC Elizabeth Allen and Pelich Rogers were married Jan 5 1764. He is Peleg Rogers who I only now discovered this info with tying into a previous post. There are several Peleg Rogers but related.
Elizabeth Allen (question is who is her father?) and Peleg rogers have children:
Thomas, Drusillah (see Virgina Drucilla SATTERFIELD) of next link to come!!
April 18, 2006 at 10:59 pm #20416continuing with children of Elizabeth Allen and Peleg Rogers…Silvah married George Brasfield.
Elizabeth?
Mary?
Peleg II, Elizabeth Bailey
Benjamin, married Catherine Cabe
Jubilee
Job married Agnes RUST
John L Rogers and Frances JACKSON..
John born 7-5-1778…son William Rogers and Nancy Holecomb..their son John Jackson Rogers..their Son PELEG STAMBRE ROGERS..married to MARY ANN COZART, Person co NC. There are tons of connected Rogers to these..I’ll be interested to see if your Rogers might not connect somehow. But for now I’m not sure. Interesting to me, is that the Elizabeth Allen is in a database for the Whitlock group connecting the Hunts. Too much to digest.

From the way this appears to me is that the Allens and Rogers connect to the Hunts and the Blount. The Blount I speak of is King Blount of the Tuscarora. All of these are Tuscarora families. Check out the site for the Southern Band of the Tuscarora and look at the surnames listed and you will see what I mean. So to be surprised that the Hunts connect is not at all surprising to me as i have been searching this for some time.
Much of this knowledge saddens me because of the Tuscarora Nations stand on those who were left in North Carolina. They say those that stayed choose to give up their citzenship in the Tuscarora nation. They acknowledge their are Tuscarora in North Carolina still but they will not acknowledge as part of themselves.:( I think about to when my grandparents were living and my grandfathers drinking and his anger (I didn’t understand then but I am beginning to) he was an angry angry man. My mother tells me my great grandfather was an angry man too. I have aunts who still carry this anger but I’d guess they don’t know for sure what they are angry about. It’s the sadness of generation after generation. this is what I meant when I wrote the joy of knowing and the sorrow of being in another thread. I can’t explain what I feel deep deep in my soul right now but to be honest I have thought about buying some land in Wyoming and getting far away from all the sorrow but in reality it will follow me to Wyoming. So many things make sense now but at times I wish I had left it all alone and just let the stories go because the truth is the reality hurts more then the not knowing did. Sorry for the moody post.

No need to apologize for feeling sad.
And going to Wyoming might make you feel worse. Displaced.
Some of us “out here” feel displaced I think. The ones that left as those that stayed behind like your ancestors. It is sad. But you have not just Tuscarora. I’m grateful for this forum and at least can be a part of the ESDA.
You could come to Indiana!
I’ll check out the site of the Southern group. Sue J
