My Grandfather was Princeton Simpkins s/o William Garland s/o Richard L & Mary Polly Simpkins.
Princeton married Mazie Young d/o Andrew James Young and Sarah E. Dobbins. She died very young when my mother was around 5 yrs old. I am trying to find her kin folk which consisted of a sister names Virginia (Dink) Young who married an Akers.
Anyone have any information would be most appreciated.
Princeton and Mazie (AKA Delia) had 4 living children
Danie Alice, Juanita, Clinton, Rachel. They lived in the Floyd County area.
Thanks
Tina Rae 🙂

Hi There, not sure about the cousin thing and how it works, Larma would of been my great aunt since she was my mom’s aunt. mmm think that works like that. LOL
either way howdy cozin!! So do you have pictures of the family to share with me? I has a pic of gg grandmom Eliza Jane, and one of Uncle Jack (AKA Marion) he would be Larma’s brother
😀
January 27, 2006 at 3:43 am #18888Tina, I’ll have to check with my mom about the pictures. She still has all my dad’s family pictures but my dad’s sister in Danville, Va may have some pictures that we don’t have. Have you visited Floyd co, Va? Have you seen the Buffalo Mtn they grew up on? We have pics of that and some of the cemeteries. We can get an email exchange going. This is very cool, finding a new living relative this closely related. 😉

January 27, 2006 at 3:43 am #18892Hi There Cuz!
No I don’t have pics of the MTN. I however have been up there a couple of times when I was younger. I remember Uncle Jack living on a mtn. And they had alot of family reunions too. I went to one when I was around 12, couldnt believe all the cousins, aunts, uncles I had. Wish I had been into the family research at that time.
I would love to get an email going so we can pass pics to one another.
January 27, 2006 at 3:43 am #18893Tina,
You better let Ken know that your sister, Snoqueen, is also looking for this family information. If Ken doesn’t mind, I’d like to be included. Hope you hear from you soon.
