Our forum is back from a long hacked-up nightmare and ready to roll. Please, guests, the registration is working again, go ahead and register. Let’s hope our new captcha will keep those Russian trolls from registering by the hundreds every day.
So that’s what happened. At one point my Avast Antivirus would let me go to the site.
Several years ago, I set up a server in the garage and had little BBS program running on it and darn if those pesky little Russians putting all kinds of trash on it. Too bad you can’t return it all to them.

You and Daniel Bingamon make a good point. There’s still a lot of stuff posted to this site that has no connection with NA history,culture,or events.

I plan to make the Monacan powwow next month. Being likely of Pamunkey ancestry,I’m going out to King William County also to the Mattaponi and Upper Mattaponi powwows.

I continue to have issues with bandwidth error messages. It is working now, but it seems that 4 out of 5 times visiting here, I receive that message. I hope that this can be fixed; I missed this forum.

Is there a time of day when you tend to visit? I’m suspecting that we’re still on some spammer hit list that’s inundating the server with requests intermittently. I’ll ask the host what we can do. I’ve got us set at 94GB of bandwidth, and the resource meter shows us as using no more then 12GB.
The host can’t see any evidence of this. Can you alert me the next time it happens, noting the time so he can look in the logs and see what’s going on?
How do I add another surname to my “signature?” We’ve got Hancock’s in our family, also from North Carolina. Thanks – sorry for not being so good at all this technical stuff.
Hey all. It’s been a while since I logged in so mainly checking to see if I still could. Haven’t done much new gen work lately. Two elderly moms, 4 year old granddaughter, work, crafting and powwowing have been taking all my time. Hope to check by here a little more often. I didn’t realize how much I missed this place 😉

What great news that Saponitown is back. I have been trying to log in and was finally successful. Will be posting more in the future now that the site is back up.
