All tools have limitations. That said, DNA can be very powerful. I did conventional genealogical research for nearly two decades before I added DNA as a tool three years ago. It has shed new light on long-held documents and opened many doors for me that paper sleuthing alone simply could not have. There is no reason to neglect the documents that Nature has inscribed in our genome.
