Osiyo All, I am so exited that my son and I will be going to the 2nd Gathering Of Nations this coming Sat ~May 31~Sun ~ June 1st~ It is in Park County, Indiana~abt 11 mi east of Rockville. I hope to see my son dance~and wish to dance, too, although I have never danced at a powwow~and don’t have any ragalia and don’t know what this powwow will be like~at any rate I will be just happy to hear and feel the beat of the drums. This powwow is of the Miami Indian Tribe of Indiana. Some farmer a while back donated this land to them. I remember reading abt it and don’t recall his name only that he donated some land. Anyway, I am really looking forward to this coming wkend. If anyone wants to know more details abt this gathering please let me know and I will post it~I don’t know what the take will be on picture taking but if it is allowed, I will take some and share~Blessings to All~~:) ~Greydove~^~
Osiyo My son and I went to the Gathering today and what a glorious day!! It was low 80s and the sky was so blue with big fluffy white clouds and the drums were so good to hear~~We didn’t dance today but maybe next time~~I was just in awe to take it all in~~got some pics to share with you all~~enjoy~~Love and Blessings~~:) ~Greydove~^~
Greydove – There are some Bennetts that live by me in my town. They are Cherokee on their mothers side, but they have lived in this area for many years. I believe they are Blackfoot too! Can you provide me with any information on that side of your family? I will try to get additional info. or ask them if any connections that they are aware of to them or other relatives.

Hi Felicia, I have William Bennett & Belle W. ? who had a dau Julia Bennett (and I have no dates or place for them~but they’re in my tree on ancestry.com and also a couple hundred other peoples tree on there and none have dates or places for them) however, Julia Bennett m Edward Hewes from Eng b 1665 d 1738 PA and they had a son Edward Hughes (diff spelling) b 1715 Northumberland VA d 1752 Gawley River, Kanawha, VA. He md a Grigsby who is tied into Redmond & Elkins all from Stafford VA Then they (Hughes m into Foster then into Bailes~~Bailes into Hart~~Then into Fitzwater (my maiden name). Where do you live? I saw Bracey? but I don’t know where it is.
