I’m From The Line Of Parker Adkins: He Was Not Married To Bluesky, His Wife Mary Did Not Raise Charity. She Was Raised By The Tribe, Hence Her Name Charity. Bluesky Was Killed In A Raid. My Grandpa Was John Vance, I’m Related To Parker Through My Grandma. Erie Vance, She Remembered Alot From Her Mother. My Grandpa Was Related To Abner Vance, Who Lived In Virginia. I Myself Married Into The Bryant Family In West Virginia. I Now Currently Reside In Indiania. There Is So Much History In My Line That Its Hard To Keep Up With All Of It. But I Would Like To Know Alot More As Would My Dad. He Kept Journals Of The Histories And It Is His Wish To Have Them Published But He Is To Ill. So I Plan To Get Them Into The World No Matter What It Takes Even If It Is Just On Sites Like These. He Wants Everyone To Be Able To Get Info If They Want Because There Is Just So Much That We Dont Know.

I also have Adkins in my line: James W. b. 1785 Giles VA d. abt. 1870 Pike Co. KY, Squire Adkins b. Pike Co. KY d. Buchanan, VA, and Celia (celie) b. VA.
This is all I have on this line, dn’t know if they are connected or not? I do know there were Vances in Buchanan VA at the time my family was there (Gibson, Baldwin, Adkins, Anderson, Thomas, Shortridge)
Please post those stories. I believe I am connected to the Owen Adkins Parker V. Adkins line through my Grandmothers Vaughan line oddly enough and maybe not through my Adkins line. Strange as it may seem I have two lines of Adkins intersecting through my Grandmothers family long before she married Grandpa Johnny D. Adkins in Halifax VA.
I’d love to hear those stories.
