Lynelle, said something about adding clams to my mom’s potatoe soup in the reciepts section. If you did and I ate the soup I would break out in hives from head to toe. I am allergic to all shellfish.
Also allergic to mushrooms.
As a baby my mother had to put me on goats milk. Most people in those days breast feed their babies but my mother was very sick when I was born and unable to breast feed. My aunt made me bottles of cow’s milk and I would be sick from it. I was not thriving. Aunt Pearl and Uncle Archie Spencer kept a bunch of goats and they tried goats’s milk and I was fine. When my grandchildren was born we discovered several of them can’t tolerate milk either.
I thought this might be interesting to find out if any of the rest of us has the same problems.

The only shell fish I’ve had problems with is Lobster and Scallups. But I don’t think it was the meat part. I think it was more the quantity of BUTTER part. I really drown em’ good! Mushrooms too, that’s too bad. I love Portabella Mushrooms. I promiss I’ll never feed you anything you’re allergic to. I’ll check everything out first.
I know what it’s like to break out in hives. When I was a baby they had to hospitalize me several times because everything swelled so bad that I guess I was unrecognizable. They would have to fill me with tubes for air, food, meds. And they never really figured out what it was, but my mother thought perhaps horse hair. We had a lot of horses then. Now I know it is Dog slobber, Cat dander and mostly just nerves. So I keep a lot of Benadryl around.
I really enjoy all this food talk. Food is the best thing on Earth for anything that ripps at ya’. Love & Light, Lynella.
