Thanks for your link. The maker of these Indian dolls is a Tuscarora woman from the Tuscarora Reservation in N.Y., and her grandmother has the same surname as one of my ancestors, Jacobs. Today, I wrote her an e-mail regarding our mutual surname. I wouldn’t have known about the possible link except for your post. Thanks.
