Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Here goes…probably noone will connect here but…for years I have tried to find info on my direct line Joseph Allen’s twin brother…also Joseph’s children, which I first found Memucan Allen in a Kentucky Pioneer records book. But I have found the only thing I have ever seen on twin Benjamin, in a rootsweb gedcom..with documentation of census records..and the names fit..Beverley Allen born 3-10-1783 in Henrico, SON of Benjamin born 4-11-1711 twin to Joseph. Beverley goes to Fayette co Ky. Beverley has a twin Benjamin too. Children of Benjamin Allen and wife unknown…Charles, Katherine, Eleanor, Hudson, Elizabeth, Beverley and Benjamin..some born in Woodford co Ky. Beverley Allen is Rev. Beverley Allen of the “Clover Bottom Region” on the Ky. River. buried in Mt. Edwin Co. Methodist Cemetery..of which he was pastor. His children marry…..
William Allen marries Mary Adkins.
James?
Clemency Allen?
Elizabeth?
Louisa?
Lewis marries Lucy Dawson
Susannah?
Lucy..1. a Hammond and 2. George Hall, George and Lucy have a Clemency Hall..marries Dudley Chilton.
I did find a Benjamin in Caswell co NC in 1750’s which fits the migration pattern of some of the others who went to NC first and then to Ky. Lewis mentioned above was born 5-3-1809, married in 1836. I find it interesting how the people connect clear back to Carters in early Va. Only sharing this because of that and because I was thrilled to see ANYTHING on Benjamin..I wonder if there is a generation missing though. But many men were way older than their wives…..Saj
