Hey! OH MY!

This is really a new one for me.

My 4th great grandmother was Martha Wooten married to Josiah Tanner. Just found the connection of her second husband Abraham Lemaster. Abraham Lemaster died in Johnson co Indiana. Born in Amherst co Va, 1745. Abraham is the cousin/uncle to Lemaster family buried in the blackfoot church cemetery we discussed on here before.

I found this interesting that some of this family is also mixed into the Johnson co Ky people married into Salyer family and others near and in Paintsville Ky.

Back to Abraham Lemaster..one daughter Mourning married Richard Vest. Another son Jesse had a daughter Susan who married a different Richard Vest Brother of Abraham, John, married Sarah Vest and coming out of Amherst co Va. where the Monacan people are centered? Isn’t Vest a surname?

And are both of these areas, Pike co Ind and Johnson co Ky and Magoffin co Ky….areas with various mixes of remnant tribes?
