Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
I came upon this thread a week or so back, but have been unable to succeed at getting registered at genealogy.com, so cannot respond. Someone referred this fellow to Saponitown, so I wonder if he might happen to be wandering around here.

Being related to the Hundley and Holt families of the same area, my eyes perked right up. It is the first mention of the Blackfoot ID that I’ve seen connected to my lines. These are not folks that I’ve done much looking at, but what I’ve got is below. Any pondering or info is most welcome, for either of us who are searching.
Kenneth, are you wandering around here????
My Holt was Hannah from NC who md Edward “Ned” Collins. They lived alternately in Stokes, NC and Patrick Co. VA. Edward lived beside Elisha Collins (whose will has oft been included in Melungeon ponderings) & is believed to be his brother, sons of William, believed to be sons of a Thomas Collins (although I’m not sure which). Not sure who Hannah’s parents were. Francis was near them in NC, but there were Holts in Patrick County way back when. There was apparently more than one Holt-Collins marriage.
My Hundley was Barbara/Barbary who married Bartholomew Foley (aka Folas).
The fellow who posted is looking for info on Columbia Hundley (b ca 1873) whose parents were Delila Frances Holt & William Robert Hundley.
