Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Hope everyone is enjoying there time this Thanksgiving month. I have a question. Are there families still in central VA that are of Native decent that go by the name of blackfoot? If so, are there any persons registered on this site that live or are decended from people that resided there in Louisa, Charlottesville, Orange areas in VA? Speaking with an older member of my bloodline who told us of our blackfoot ancestry, said that a couple of families still live in central va that are blackfoot. He said that they live in a close knit community. Just want to know if anyone has ties to families still living there and might have info reguarding families in that location.
Hi, did you get a response to this posting?
I do have some family from this area, but we live in central Missouri. My families moved here soon after the Revolution ended in the late 1700’s.
I’m sorry I won’t be of much use to you in this matter.
