It does have something to do with Brenda Sampsel though, I think. If I recall correctly, her Steel family, with its Blackfoot story, originated with the Swedish colony, although that was before her changed job when I was in contact.

It might have some influence on where people looking for a place felt comfortable settling. Another odd coincidence — the Vernon County Indians from Granville, NC settled near a town called Hillsboro. Really weird when you come across it. We also don’t really know who all was there the day the name got picked and threw their two cents in.
