Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
https://www.facebook.com/scott.p.collins.35. Just an FYI for anyone interested. I am in the process of writing a history book on the Saponi and Yesą̨́ peoples. If you would like to submit a chapter or two on your community please contact me at saponi360@yahoo.com and I can go over the format with you. This could be a way to clear up misconceptions that the general public may have about our various peoples and specific communities of our peoples. Also, I am in the process of mapping out all of our people’s villages so if any of you may have information concerning this please get in touch with me. Just in case anyone wants to know or asks, all the proceeds from the sell of this book (after expense of publishing) will be used for a Tutelo language program (hiring a linguist (David Kaufman) to help us create a better more user friendly dictionary as well a set of lesson based learning books
Thanks for posting about Scott Collins project. I fixed the link to his facebook page.
After reading Rick Haithcock’s latest volume, it struck me how helpful it is to see a bunch of family histories and pictures together in one book. It is easier to see the connections between all our families.
We are hoping to have a contribution for Scott Collin’s project and future Haithcock volumes.
