I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they have heard anything about Brenda Collins Dillon? I was at the Mormon site and saw where a Brenda Dillon from lakeville Mass. had passed away last Dec, It stated she was born 194? and died 200?.

I read something similar that came through an email…but have been waiting confirmation. It seems it would have taken a mighty force to keep her from genealogy. I would have liked to have met her; our famililes lived very close n Nicholas Co. 🙁

Thank you for the posts. I am thankful that I was able to talk to her the last 3 years. She was a wonderful person and a blessing to me. And I am proud to have been able to call her my cousin.
I did try to find her last year with info that I had, but, all the emails came back. I would have loved to take her to the Flat River area and show her where old Tom Collins had roamed.
Yes, we shall all miss her terribly. She was a funny and gracious lady. May you rest in peace, Brenda….you had a long, hard battle. May you take your place with the ancestors….and help us in our quest for answers.

Thanks for posting…I have been wondering for some time and am sorry to hear it is true. She is now at peace and resting with the ancestors…she finally has “the answers to her questions.” She is now walking with family she worked so hard to find. I am sorry I never had the chance to meet her personally, but feel as if I know her somewhat through what she left behind.
I had heard about Brenda Dillon Collins on one of my Melungeon lists, and it appears to be true, unfortunately. I second Beeleaf’s sentiments.

I read her postings alot. She was a very giving person.
I think she should have a separate place on the Saponitown Forum
where future members can read eveything that she has said.
