Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Dunno if a link to this has been posted before. It’s a website with a LOT of info about Cherokee ancestry and lineages. It includes a fairly usable index. The link is to the “Table of Contents”, from which it is easy to get to the Index. Hope someone finds it useful.

Thanks for sharing the site. I will look into this to see if I can trace any Cherokee ancestry. I have had a heck of a time trying to find ANYTHING about my supposed Cherokee ancestry – and not finding any proof to the family theories – or joining a group, and finding out it’s the wrong group, that’s not about learning the culture, language, history or genealogy of Cherokees.
This makes me all the more appreciative of this forum and the people on this forum. I have had help in trying to track my Blackfoot and have sites to further explore if I wish to.
I have heard that my mother’s father’s family was Black Dutch/Cherokee, and my grandmother was one-eighth Cherokee.
Thanks again for sharing the website!!! I will see if I can find my Halls in there.
