Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Hey all,
I just wanted to tell you about this really cute little coyote that I met the other day.
The road was solid ice, I’m going 25 mph in 4 wheel drive in 3rd gear and about a block and a half in front of me this coyote comes darting at a break neck speed out of the woods and crossed the road where I was headed. I watch him and took my foot off the gas. He sprinted about 100 yards out into this meadow, spun so fast it may have actually been mid air. Snow went flying all around him. And that little monkey ran just as fast back into the road. I’m on ice. So I’m yelling, God Bless you Coyote and keep you safe! Gritting my teeth cause I know I’m gonna’ hit him, I tapped my brakes and as the back end of my truck met up to the front end and I slid sideways to a stop in the middle of the road, I looked down out of my driver’s side window and the little thing was just sitting right there. Not 5 feet from where I finally stopped, in the middle of the road, just sitting there grinning at me. So, I couldn’t help but smile back! He went his way and I went mine. Animals do the darndest things. I think he was telling me that even going slow in 4 wheel drive doesn’t always mean you’re being plenty safe. 🙂 Love & Light, Lynella.
Now I’M the one thinkin’ we might be related, Lynella . . . I love coyote stories . . .

Vance,
Glad you liked it! I really wish you could see the photo of my mom’s brothers, the Kinder boys, especially Oran. I’m sure we’re related, you & me.:) Love & Light, Lynella.
