Well I am back again with more questions. I found a letter in my grandmother’s trunk written in 1927. Evidently she had written an attourney in Virginia to see if she could find out about an Emily Mimms or that looks like the name. He was writing her asking for her parents and grandparents on both sides of her family so that he might pull up the name. Does anyone know of this family and if they have connection with NA. I did find Mimms on 1851 census of Cherokees east of the Mississippi and they appeared to be related to the Collins family. Ed
