Any of you been over the Dargon’s Tail? Spectacular! Even in a 15 passenger van with a 30 foot trailer behind…I just love the Smokies; we are in Cherokee tonight and it is much cooler than it has been. I look forward to meeting you all and conversing in words for a change.:)

July 16, 2007 at 3:25 am #27461Hey Tom thanks! Well, how we found this Dragon’s Tail was kind of funny…we wanted to bypass Knoxville on our way to Cherokee (out of Tenn.)…when we came to the town of Greenback, we asked for directions to US 129 and the gentleman said “Oh, you mean Dragon’s Tail?” My husband and I just looked at one another…He said it had a few switchbacks, but was beautiful! If you do go…it would be an awesome trip on a bike! Thanks for the offer for lunch:) , but we are going to pick up some fresh trout from a local Native trout farm…bought fish there last time, it was great! Take care.

Mmm, man that trout is making me hungry. Bought some of the best turnips ever tasted when we were up there last fall.
Sounds like you are having a terrific trip. Woo-hoo!
