This event is being held this weekend, July 14-15. The gates open at noon both days. We are going to try to go on Saturday for the day if the corn in the garden will hold off a day or two. John Blackfeather Jeffries is the emcee, and Mike and Jeannie Cranford are the head dancers.

Well, I must say that for a first pow wow this one turned out pretty good despite the stormy weather both days. I hope they will have it again next year and we will be able to go for the weekend…and not take the scenic route..LOL. Although Bethania is a beautiful little town.
The spirit was good. If you measure success by the laughter you hear, then this 1st annual powwow was very successful.
