Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Trying to find more info on a Goin line that marries into Drybread.
John Sager Drybread (1833-1901) married Arabelle McMillan (1844-1912) in Nineveh, Johnson Co, IN.
Arabelle McMillan’s mother was Isabinda Goin (1827-1892) – also recorded Icybinda, and Leylinda in records. She was born in KY.
Her father William Goin 1804-? was born in VA. Looks to be recorded as Gons and Gowen on 1830 aand 1840 census in KY. His father may have been Gowin.
Putting this out there in case anyone connects to this Goin line.
This is a picture of siblings Arabelle, Harriet, Ann, James & Clay McMillin children of Icybinda/Isabinda
Was it your Drybread relatives who just had a spit-in, so to speak, for DNA in Canada?

The Swab-A-Thon was just people who were interested in testing their DNA. Separate from that I am awaiting a series of new family tests; a Y-111 of my Drybread uncle, two FTDNA Family Finder tests of my first cousins 1x and 2x removed on the Indiana Jones-Smith line, and an AncestryDNA kit for myself (I’ve done all Big-3 now).
