I’m researching the Easter and Walker part of my family of Brunswick County VA.
My great-grandmother was Leana (Easter) Dupree born in Lawrenceville VA, born in 1903, died in 1987, in Portsmouth VA. She was married to Julius Dupree, but I have no information on him.
Her parents were Corinne (Travis) Easter and James Easter.
Her grandparents were Ann (Walker)Travis and Rufus Travis.
I have heard stories of Ann being a healer.
I think that they were all from Brunswick County, VA (Lawrenceville?)
That’s the furthest I’ve been able to get. I can’t seem to locate any NA records with any of their names.

Her parents were Corinne (Travis) Easter, born in 1879 and James W.Easter, born in 1870.
Her maternal grandparents were Ann (Walker)Travis born in 1856 and Rufus Travis was born in 1850.
I have heard stories of Ann being a healer and a midwife.

April 21, 2008 at 8:53 pm #30875did you ever email the names I posted on the other thread?
I posted a few people on the other thread with their email addresses…..people that specialize in the Easter family history and are of the Easter family.
April 21, 2008 at 8:53 pm #30906Yes, I emailed them all, but 2 came back undeliverable.
April 21, 2008 at 8:53 pm #30915That happens sometimes…I’ve had few of the “petty” family researcher’s email come back to me like that lol.
if you go to walmart and get one of the 20 dollar walmart pre paid visa cards…..probally comes to a total of about 28 bucks….you can use that card and get a free 2 weeks trial at http://www.ancestry.com this will give you access to all the census records you’ll need to get a family trace…..that site will also give you all kinds of other info like marriage info…military documents…etc etc just remember to close your account before the 2 weeks is up….it takes a 1.00 off your card……then that will leave you with 19.00 dollars to shop at wal mart with……and you’ll end up only paying like 9 dollars to do ALOT of family research……that is how I do my research……
April 21, 2008 at 8:53 pm #30916Okay, thank you. I’d never thought about doing that. I’m learning!
