Hello. I happened to see this post and it concerned me to see this. I don’t know much about this specific site, but the town of Howardsville, VA in Albemarle County has been mentioned on this site and is quite near to the Monacan tribe. It concerned me even more to see in the pictures that this person took that the name “Fortune” is listed in church records. Regardless of whether this specific site has Native associations or not, I was frustrated to see yet another space being trampled upon by white people to become their “getaway place” as this person puts it. Does anyone know anything about this church?
