Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
If any of you recall the “Last of the Mohicans” film you’ll recall that it centered around the siege of “Fort William Henry”, that date in history is now appraoching it’s 250 year mark.
I have recently heard that there is a re-enactment of that battle to happen this sept.
One interesting note regarding the battle is that there were members of many nations there and some were from so far west theat no one could spaek thier language!
I don’t have the particular but if you do a search on Fort re-enactment sites you may find more.
However my question here is, how many of the Eastern Siouan people were involved in this battle.?
