I have never grown corn , beans and Squash together, actually I quit growing corn-bad run in with a family if raccoons, they destroyed my corn. Anyhow, I would plant the squash at the same time as the corn myself, squash is a slow grower, at least up here in Wisconsin, and it is also a fall harvested crop. As Barbra was saying delectica squash is great and it can be picked a bit sooner, I to prefer butternut Squash. The beans you are going to plant , I would plant them no further than three inches from the corn,I grow mine against a fence, but if they get planted to far out they fall to the ground because they cant find the support. good luck with your garden.

I tought the beans would wind around the corn. Will it kill the corn if I let it do that? I dont know- I am still learning. I was thinking that because our grandfathers did not have fence, so I was going to plant it the way they would have. ???
