Looking for information on an Abraham Gibson born in Scott’s Co. Virgiinia. He
married a Mary Davis also from Scott’s Co. Virginia. I beleive Abrahamm was born abt 1795 to 1800’s. Has anyone ever came across this couple in their research? I know that in 1850 they where living in Johnson County Kentucky.
Know that he died sometime between 1850 &1860. Don’t know if he died in Kentucky or Virginia. Can anyone please help me find this couple. Would also like to know about both their parents, birthand death dates where they wherefrom,siblings and so on.

I have what I think is their marr. date (she as “Patey” Davis) as 5 Dec 1828 in Scott Co., Va and Abraham Gibson on the 1840 & 1830 Scott Co., Va and 1850 Johnson Co., Ky census.

I scanned the Stony Creek Chuch Minutes from Scott Co. Va but don’t think I saw Abraham’s name. If you would like you can look at them at

Hi Bill, Was wondering if you knew where Abraham and Mary might have came from,Parents, any siblings they both might have had? Do you know any birth and death dates also? This couple are my grtgrtgrandparents and also my brick wall. Can’t seem to find anyone that might have heard of this couple. would really be greatful for any help given. If anyone can help they can contact me at ridgerunner_123@yahoo.com Know that Abraham died sometime between the 150and 1860 Johnson Co. Kentucky census. Also know that Mary remarried in 1859 tp an Adam Bowen of Johnson co. Ky and they then moved to Lawerence Co. Kentucky. Know that Mary and abraham had another son by the name of Abner in 1851 . The kids went with her and Adam to Lawerence and the Came back to Johnson Co. for the are named in the 1870 Census for that county. Lydia M. Gibson went to Pike Co Ky where she married a Ruben Sparks , he died and she then married Edward Ray my grtgrtgranfather.They lived in Pike Co. all their lives and died there and are buried there also. Sure hope someone can help me with this couple.
