Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to share some good news with you all. I finally had my birth certificate corrected (my parents and myself races). We are now registered…or whatever term you would use…as Native American. I had to go through a lot to get it corrected…I had to show proof using my geno I have documented for the last 5 years or so….. I am very excited. I accomplished something my parents tried to do many years ago. They have passed on and this is truly and honor for my ancestors as well as my parents. I was born in NY and they are not the easiest people to work with.
If anyone else on the forum was born in NY and may questions about what they need to start the process please feel free to send me a private message.
Aho,
