Biwa to Gitchie Manitou for a great solstice pow wow here in unceeded Algonquin Territory. Hope all my cuzzins are enjoying the Summer Solstice and Strawberry Moon. This is the first time since 1967 that the Strawberry Moon and Summer Solstice are on the same day. The Anishinaabe (Algonquin) tradition is this full moon is the start of strawberry picking season. This afternoon I’m driving my daughters out to the country to pick wild strawberries where I grew up.
Peace!

It is so wonderful to go out and harvest wild fresh strawberries! Yummy!
