I would like to say hello to every one in the group and thank for letting me be part of it.
I have been researching my geneology a long time and have ran into a lot of dead ends. I feel very strong now that i am on the right track.
My Grandmother used to tell us that we were black foot. most of the family would laugh at her and she was crazy! I also have heard my grandmother mention the word saponi. I had never put the two together until a shawnee friend mentioned to me the Saponi of North Carolina and Virginia. My Grand Mothers maiden name was Tallman and her mothers maiden name was Justice.
Grand Father was Charles Tallman born in Terre Haute Co. In.
Grand Mother was Missouri Belle Justice.
They were married and lived in the wapakoneta area of Ohio very near the old shawnee res.
I am looking forward to speaking with all of you and working toward all of our goals.
