I noticed there have been quite a few that have read my first post on Harris family in Hollister NC. If you know someone who is related there to John M. Harris who was married to Willie P.Hall and later married Rosa Evans. John and Rosa Harris’ children were ED, Jesse, Anthony, Robert, Julia and Susie. Please let me know I need to know what family (Harris) I still have living in Hollister. This is very important to me.

My gr grandmother (Willie P Harris) was born 1881. Her father is John M. Harris. I don’t have his birthday, but can get it. I think that area (Hollister) at that time may have been Halifax Co. I have to search the Halifax Co records. His second wife was Rosa Evans from Hollister. My gr grandmother was also born in Hollister but her marriage license says Warren Co , which is where Hollister is located.
Any help you can give will be appreciated.

I wasn’t able to accomplish what I was trying to do.
I’d suggest you try what many family genealogy researchers do…
get ahold of some telephone numbers and just call them at an appropriate time of day. Use your Grandparents’ and parents’ names and see if they are related to them. It may take a few phone calls but persistence would probably pay off in this case because you know the specific area and surnames.
