Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
I want to say hey to all our Cuzns out there. Been a while since I have been back. Sue “SAJ” had helped me so greatly that things just don’t seem the same. She had mentioned that we were Pocahontis descent but just can’t find her message to me about it. Can’t remember if it was on our Allen or Howard family in regards to our Groves Howard relationship.
Also, anyone with Franklin-Parrish ties would be greatly appreciated. I have found that most all of my family has come through this region to include, Selby, Parrish, Sams, Howards, Browns, Allens, Putney, Wilson, Snelling, Hale, Thorp(e), Smith and some others… Thanks, Bob
Nathaniel Hunt Greer 1802-1855 is one ancestor Sue Janz mentioned as having oral history of descent from Pocahontas. Through his mother Sarah “Sallie” Hunt – RootsWeb Source
