Hey, speaking of Kentucky, did you see the post about the Ridgetop Shawnee? I think some of your folks might be in their database. Of course, if you added them, then you already know that. ;~)

Yes, I added them…I figure the more exposure…well, maybe I can find more family and more answers. Who knows?! This part of Kentucky was their home for many years.

I just wanted to expound a little more on this…I think this is a good opportunity for those of us who had family in this area of KY to post our lines…and maybe find some answers. Richard Allen Carlson’s dissertation, “Who’s Your People,” has many FPC family names listed for these areas. The actual origin of their nativity is not certain in some instances, but they were none the less. My family lived in Perry, Pike and Floyd Cos after leaving NC. Posting family trees here is a good way to organize our families and find common ties…cousins perhaps (or should I say, most likely). Sorry, to run on…but thought it was a good opportunity to share.;)
