I may be wrong, but I was under the impression Tutelo was pronounced Too Tay Low? But I could be mistaken. I saw a picture recently of an old Tutelo chief and he looks like my family a lot on the “Blackfoot” side!!! Jeff in STL

It’s pronounced commonly as I’ve heard it, TWOtulow, with the emphasis on the first syllable. This, of course, is not the original pronunciation, which would have had the emphasis on the second syllable. I have a feeling the ‘l’ sound was pronounced differently, hence the variation, Tottero.
Hey Linda. Wind Dancer posted a question about an ucoming? get-to-gether. Is this the same one that Felicia is sponsoring in August, in North Bend State Park to coincide with the Homecoming which is also the first week of August. Please post directions to the Park for me. We/family are making plans to come down and would like to know how to get to the park from Bracey or South Hill, VA. Look forward to your reply.
