This event is occurring near me. I live in Yorktown. My oldest son had the opportunity to participate in Jamestown live on PBS a few months back marking this event. In October there was a week long event marking the 225th Anniversary of Yorktown at Yorktown’s Riverwalk and Battle field. They did recognize Native Americans however I wasn’t impressed with the little recognition they had in place. I hope Jamestown does a better job. The Symposium held in October in Williamsburg that is listed on the webpage you link to went buy with little to no media coverage. I wasn’t aware of it until after the fact. Hopefully we will hear more about the Intertribal Cultural Festival at the Hampton Coliseum. Since it is near by I will try to attend.
