Hello,
I have read threads started back in 2002 regarding descendents of John Austin Sr. I, too, am a descendent and would like to connect with others. My line is as follows:
1. John Austin Sr.
2. John Austin Jr.
3. William Austin (married to Milly Dalton) and brother of Hezekiah
4. John Austin (married to Mary Francis King)
5. Emily Asbury Austin
I am a descendent of Emily, who I believe is the oldest child of John and Mary Francis. In my family records, this John, the third I presume, is often referred to as “Fletcher” Austin. I don’t know if this is a mistake or if he was called by Fletcher because there were so many other Johns. Anyway, I would be interested in connecting and exchanging information with other Austins. I have not found much posted in the Austins of America about Emily Asbury Austin and might be able to fill in some gaps.

I am descended from John Austin Sr & John Austin Jr. Our lines seem to spilt there lol.
Stephen Baldy Austin was my ancestor, and his family relocated to Hardin, TN.

Hello Kathryn,
I am doing Austin family research.. .
We had a brick wall ancestor Miles Austin who we just found out father was Ransom/e Austin
m Prucilla Allen.
Family clues lead me to believe that John Sr’s line is the line that Miles/Ransom/e
connects with and am trying to get my ducks in a row to prove that connection/s..if I can in my lifetime.
We appreciate any information that you can supply… I am helping an Aunt who has been working
on this brick wall for 30yrs ..

I am trying to connect Miles Austin father Ransom/e Austin who married Prucilla Allen
to this line.
Family naming leads me here.
I have Stephen Baldy Austins name in my family ” basket ”
not sure how he ties to our Miles descendants .. but seeking to tie together these lines.
Hardin is a middle name to our Charles’ fathers name…. I have information I can send to see
if you can see faster than I .. where the lines meet .. I am new to this but determined to link
these lines together in my lifetime as it seems obvious to me from the names .. but need help
to try to ” tie together ” for prosterity .. not to mention… years of frustration for our aunt who
has been working on this for 30yrs now.. would love to help give her closure on this in her lifetime.
Can you take a look at some information we have to see what you think ?
