I have some names John Newton b1805, and Nancy Newton they were living together in the VA census year 1850. John fathered 2 children (Iceum, and Ann) by Caroline pool who was a Native American sharecropper living on his property. In the 1870 census Caroline and her husband Peter Pool were living next door to John following emancipation. Sorry guys i had to edit my post, i wrote the info down wrong the first time.
