January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #6971Rosebud, this lady’s looking for you.
January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #6972dang…where have I been? Hello Ethel, this is Crystal. How can I help you with your family in Southampton County?
January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #6974I downloaded AIM messager and added anybody with aol to my list of buddies. Crystal do you still have the aol address? Linda do you have this? I don’t have aol but the messenger is used by anybody on the internet and also has the chatroom with it. I just thought it would be good to be able to chat with a few members of the forum together.
If you have it already my screen name is WVHillbillyBJ
Linda I tried to edit my profile to include it but couldn’t find a edit button on the new forum.

January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #6975I’m still on aol. I’m working til 7:30 each night this week and I have a dinner tonight. Ya’ll let me know when and I’m there. There are some things that we need to discuss.
January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #6983There is a hack I can add to this board that will give us an instant messenger. Should I look into this, or do you guys want voice chat?
There’s another option, we can use a yahoogroup as a rendevous, there’s a free voice chat that’s part of any group. The only hold up is you have to have registered with yahoogroup.
I’m signed up with aol voice chat and some others, I just don’t like having those things active on my desktop all the time, and then when I disable them from being active, I can never find them again.
I’m not sure which way to go.
January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #6986I just downloaded AOL IM which has the chatroom that goes with it. It’s easy to use and is readily available to everybody on the internet FREE. It also has voice but I am not set up for that right at this time.
January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #6992To All:
I use Yahoo IM, & my daughter uses AOL IM, so I can go either way. The voice chat is not important to me, just the regular IM.
Sincerely,
CoheeLady 🙂
Chat with u soon!
January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #6995I agree with CoheeLady. I think just as long as we have IM, we’re doing great. And we’re all pretty efficient with the keyboards so I say stick with what we have.
January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #6997Actually, I’m relieved to hear that. Voice chats are nice, but they are slow, as far as conversation flow, goes. You know, somebody gets to chit chatting about something and it’s half an hour before you get a word in and by then you’ve forgotten what you had to say.
If IM is what we want, I’ll see about that hack we can put on here, then nobody needs to have downloaded anything, and it should be a quick connect.
January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #7000that will work for me 🙂 🙂
January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #7001That would work for me also. I am use to typing IM and use AOL. It has a chatroom that comes with it so a few can meet at a time. 🙂 I can’t wait…Crystal it was great talking to you on the telly the other day.:) 🙂
January 20, 2003 at 11:18 am #7002You too Brenda, we need to talk more and get in touch with that individual. I want to see more of their work and where they are going with it.
