Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
I apparently have two ways of being desendents of Cape fear Siouan tribe and the tuscarorian . If any names sound familiar PLEASE let me know. I have a Mary Penny who married a cape fear siouan indian It would have been around 1750. also stories go that my great x5 Henry anderson married a tuscarorian indian lady (henry was 1774) .Most of my family has always been in eastern .n.c If anyone has a clue I would appreciatte any info:;)
Welcome Lentz. I’m interested in how you came to know that your Mary Penny married a Cape Fear Siouan?
My cousin has done alot of research on our family roots. I wrote it wrong yesterday a did not know how to change it. It was Mary Penny son David Penny that married the Cape fear siouan. My family has been in nc all the way back the begginings of 1700’s. I have alot from Brunswick county, Edgecombe, sampson, and cape fear county.
Family surnames on grandpa , Robbins, Sellars, Penny,Haydock,
Family surnames on grandma, Hillburn, Carrol, Waed, Hollingsworth
Do you have info on this or curiosity. I noticed you do a lot of research.
Have a good day;)
Lentz,
To start, list your grandparents specific names, dates and locations and work backwards from there even if someone else has worked on your lines.
