Hey Family,
I just wanted to drop in and say ‘hello’ to everyone. I’ve been absent for a while for a very good cause–I’m currently incubating baby #4. A complete and very, very unexpected surprise! I’m having quite a few complications and it has been touch and go with the pregnancy. Being of ‘advanced maternal age’ is not helping either!! So, my frequency here has dropped–it may stay that way for a while…pregnancy is only the beginning…*sigh*. In any case, I wanted to give you an update.
I hope everyone else is doing well as can be! I had hoped to come north and run/meet into some of you this summer but it is a chore to make it out to the grocery store much less travel. Plus my husband has used up his sick days at working with the emergencies we’ve had here. He had some vacation time but we’re saving that for November (baby is due November 7). Perhaps we will meet next summer.
Take care!

July 31, 2007 at 2:12 am #27718Thank you much! We will get it all worked out, I think. I developed a very rare form of hemophilia–it is caused by autoantibodies, not the congenital type. The antibodies destroy a clotting factor in the blood. Fortunately, it has calmed down but I have a history of Grave’s disease and it has popped up again. We’re working on getting that taken care of now.
I’d rather sit on an egg any day! Birds are so lucky!:D

Hi Drae.
Congratulations and my prayers are with you. I know where you are coming from when you say age plays a factor with pregnantcy(sp). I had my last child at 43 years old, there was a few scary moments. One bit of advice I can give you is drink PLENTY of liquids, I ended up in the hospital twice due to dehydration with in a month of delivery,( which was in October)
Take Care
Judith
give you
