Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
I am possibly related to Chief Tom Hill who lived around 1742 there, very likely a Saponi chief.

This is a link on the 1742 Uprising in Sussex County, DE, showing Tom Hill as the Chief of the Indian River assembled tribes (Saponi/Tutelo/Assateague, perhaps Seneca?).
Beleive Tom Hill was father to Jonathan Hill, father of Elzey/Elzia Hill. Family allied with Hutson/Hudson family of same area. Hill family later married native american Webb family of area.
