I’ve found a Wiki application that integrates with vBulletin (what we’re on). It’s only 35 bucks so I’m thinking of springing for it. I’m wondering if there are some folks who are members here who’d like to volunteer to start building one? It would involve going back through old posts and transfering that content (where relevant) into an organizational structure within the Wiki, so if you wanted to see info on the Tutelo in PA, say, the info would be there in the Wiki, rather than maybe 25 different posts that come up in a search just using the search feature here.
So, if you don’t mind using a search feature, “filing” and can handle a tad of editing, this might be a good thing to get involved with. It certainly would serve a valuable function. People are constantly writing about how they wish they could learn more, not realizing a whole lot of it is already sitting right here.
Does it handle organizing the wikification? I wouldn’t know where to start – I’ve been trying to track down Brenda Collins Dillons old websites, but keep getting lost down old rabbitholes, finding things that are ALMOST the same but not quite, links that go to old websites that are now revised, or gone, or copyrighted by someone else, and so on. It’s that organizational structure that’s key.
It would be really neat, though. I guess you could come up with a few hot topics to start – Tutelo in Pa, maps, etc.
