This is what I tried to link at one time…but the main page of featured monthly articles changes..there are numerous Allen family members listed on the 1850 NC census that are within my Allen line…also Hunt. They marry into Coleman. This is exciting for me but maybe someone else here will find it helpful. Sue J

A couple of those names are familiar, including the author.
Interestingly (to me, anyway) is that so much of the 1850 section sounds so similar to a Patrick County VA census of around the same time.
