Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Back in the 19th century, an ethnologist went on an expedition deep into the mountains of North Carolina to find some pristinely “primitive” Cherokee to study. After a long and arduous trip he finally came upon a cabin of “wild” Cherokee. . .
They were reading the New Echota Times and discussing a recent eruption in Italy of Mt. Vesuvius.
