Hi. I’m new to the Search. I first signed on last year, but then life got in the way. I believe my ancestors are connected to the Siouan line out of VA. I can trace my relatives to 1820 in Buckingham Co., but my heritage includes black & Irish & being slaves so the trail backward gets cold. I had a relative in Charleston, WV who told other family members that we are also native, but I have not found that relationship. I suspect that the connection began earlier. Before being Gough/Goff, we were Holbrook. Before that I don’t know. I know that Lakota/Dakota culture feels natural to me.

A few years ago, I went to Natural Bridge & met Chief Branham & talked a little about the culture with him & others. It felt like home!

I’m looking for community & information. Please help.:confused:
