My ancestry search with Hancock is Richard Hancock is the husband of Ann Constable and has a sister named Sarah Constable which would be my cousin 15th generation or so. Gen 1 Capt Anthony Savage Sr (1606) + Elizabeth Hall next (2)Capt Anthony Savage Jr(1624) + Sarah Constable. (3) Savage Jr parents are Alice Savage + Col. Francis Thornton(1651 Stafford Va.) This Sarah Constable in my family line Has a sister of Ann Constable and Brother in Law of Richard Hancock which should be the brother of Hancock (Tuscarora) Chief of Southern tribes.My other family line would be KING TOM BLUNT the Northern Tuscarora Chief that help defeat Hancock in Tuscarora war.(He took sides with the British to stop Hancock in war 1711-1713. William and Thomas are from England and John Hancock married a Tuscarora from Virginia. One Hancock(Thomas settled in Ct.) the other of several Hancocks settled in Virginia (Gloucester County Va.) Simon Hancock should be the parent of all these U.S. Hancocks and he was born in Devonshire Eng. 1612.William Hancock born 1647 in Norfolk Va. Thomas born in Hartford Ct. This info should help and I am still refining this search, as it is not as far along as the Blunt side of Tuscarora. Thank you so much for blogging me and hope this gets you in the right direction. Also Remember that the Tuscarora have 4 tribal divisions: Bear tribe, Turtle tribe, Beaver tribe, Wolf tribe. I know we are of Bear tribe from the Blunts but not totally expert on the rest. Some wives of Hancocks on my files are Rachel Leonard, Elizabeth Cockcroft, The Willis family, Nickolls, also kin to Alexanders. Thornton, and Bradley.
