Just got back from a trip to Shamokin PA for a family reunion. Most of the people attending live in SoCal. Driving along the Susquehanna from Wilkes-Barre to Sunbury I have no doubt this was a route our ancestors followed.
Hoping I can make it back to SoCal soon. I miss going to the Sycuan and Barona pow-wows. Guess this is still a long way from NoCal though.
I just recently have been in communication with some other Saponi who live in So CA. What a trip! So Marc, all these So CA relatives are all Saponi? That is so cool! I would love to get in contact with some of them. I will try to send you my email and phone number. It sounds like you did travel the route our Ancestors did.
